Episode 1: With Thanks to God for Charlie Kirk

This is the first episode of a brand-new podcast entitled, “Men Who Understood the Times.” The name is based on 1 Chronicles 12:32. We three hosts – Pastor Michael Zarling, Pastor Andrew Mueller, and Teacher Joshua Nelson – are not saying we already understand the times. Rather, we hope to understand the times through studying God’s Word and applying it to culture. With each podcast/video, we will discuss one cultural topic through a confessional Lutheran lens. In this first episode, we give thanks to God for Charlie Kirk. We give our reactions to his assassination. We share how his murder has impacted those to whom we minister. We apply God’s Word to discover where we go from here. For, we are called to be light and salt in a world that is increasingly dark and unpleasant.
